Police Arrest Two Suspects, Launch Manhunt for OthersDelta State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the brutal murder of a site engineer, Chigozie Udalor, allegedly killed by his own employees after they discovered he had a large sum of money in his bank account.According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, the case was first reported on December 12, 2024, by one Hyacinth Nnalue, who informed the Akwukwu-Igbo Police Division that his cousin, Udalor, had been missing since December 10. The missing man was the site manager at Nnalue’s fish pond in Bod Camp, Akwukwu-Igbo community.Following investigations, operatives arrested one David Tacho on March 31, 2025, while he was attempting to withdraw money from the victim’s Moniepoint account using his phone. Another suspect, Daniel Orshio, who participated in the murder, was also apprehended.Preliminary investigations revealed that the duo conspired with two others—Pius Daniel and Victor Tacho (both still at large)—to kill Udalor. The assailants reportedly used a hammer to strike the victim on the head, tied him up, and buried him in a shallow grave at the site.The Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, has ordered an extensive manhunt for the two fleeing suspects while the body of the deceased has been exhumed for an autopsy.The Delta State Police Command has assured the public that all perpetrators will be brought to justice.
